Wild Fruit

Though we love our domesticated orchards and planted trees, there’s something very stoic and special about wild plants that bear edible fruit. Some of our back roads are lined with fruit-bearing bushes and trees and if you ever lucky enough to taste something made with wild fruit it will taste like sunlight and summertime.


Chokecherries are a member of the Prunus family and have an astringent flavor, which lends itself well to preserves.
